I joined the Tenner lab in the Summer of 2023 in hopes of learning more about how the various components of the immune system, more specifically the complement system, affect Alzheimer’s Disease pathology. I am a 4
th year Microbiology and Immunology major with a minor in Psychological Sciences and a future goal of pursuing an MD/PhD. My current project focuses on the effect of
Toxoplasma gondii, a foodborne parasite, on Alzheimer’s Disease amyloid plaque pathology and microglial activation. Some of my favorite pastimes include playing guitar, cooking/baking food, and hiking.
